Reduce rates effortlessly with a quick backend switch, without disrupting your payment systems.
A MID swap is a process whereby we change the Merchant ID within a gateway function. This does not disrupt the gateway nor does it disrupt the shopping cart. In a analogical form, in the same way you change your SIM-Card without effecting your contacts, photos or text messages, a mid swap simply changes your tariff and merchant ID without removing your tokens on your gateway or your customer data within your EPOS. The switch is handled between Paysmart and your gateway provider, hence, there is no need for a web-developer saving you costs and ensuring a hands off approach for your business.
A MID swap changes the Merchant ID within a gateway without disrupting the gateway, shopping cart, tokens, or customer data—similar to changing a SIM card without affecting your phone’s content.
We will go through an application process to set your business up with a new Merchant ID.
Our underwriters will assess the health of your business. Once satisfied, they will send us across your new Merchant ID.
We coordinate with your gateway provider to switch your Merchant ID upon your confirmation.
You will now be on a lower tariff with no disruption caused to your business.
Save on processing rates with no disruption to your software, website, EPOS or Virtual Terminal
As the switch is done between Paysmart and your gateway provider, there is no web development required. This is due to the fact that we are not changing your gateway, we are simply changing the Merchant ID.
If you are currently taking payments on your website/virtual terminal. You will have tokens which are stored within the gateway. These tokens allow you to re-run transactions for repeat customers. Changing your Merchant ID, does not affect these tokens in any way.
As we are not changing the gateway, the way your users log-in will remain the same. Hence, there will be no change noticed by your staff members. They can use their same log-in credentials. The change will simply effect the processing rates and the Merchant ID number.
